Journaling has over time helped me offload heavy thoughts, It has also helped me capture some of the best moments of my life and I am so thankful to have a channel to express my many emotions. I am hoping I can share some of them here as a series, trusting that somewhere in between my personal words, you, my darling reader, are able to connect with me, relate to my journey and (who knows) maybe find some inspiration to guide you on your own sojourn. Having done this introduction, the next words you will read are thoughts of mine that spilt into my notes at exactly 12:am, on the 13th day of April 2023. Enjoy.

It’s almost as though I feel nothing...But maybe peace feels like this sometimes and I need to stop feeling guilty for being peaceful. I have chased for many years and even though I now know better, I feel the withdrawal syndrome from time to time. I got so used to the struggle to become better when all I had to do was just be better instantly, at the switch of a thought.
This peace is the pull before the shot. This peace is protection. This peace is redirection. This peace is rest. I will enjoy it. I will bask in it. I will revel in it, knowing everything always works for me. My blessings will find me and stay with me.
